This week marks the start of the 2009 World Rally Championship. G&G Motorsport have been busy getting ready for the event. The Polo has had a good going through and is ready to take on the rally Ireland stages. Thats not all thats happening though, whilst were away at rally Ireland the new workshop is having the Rolling Road pit put in, so expect the rolling road to be in and working shortly.

Mondello Park.

We’ve just returned from a very cold Mondello. This Rally sprint was organised by the Carlow Car Club.

The event was well subscribed with around 110 entries. There were alsorts of rally/rallycross cars there as you will see from the selection of pictures.

We were there to deliver the silver 206 back to its owner after having a 6speed sequential (Sadev) box, and some big brakes fitted.

The 206 is a strong finishing car having a 1400 G&G Motorsport engine built and fitted at the start of this year.

The sprint consisted of three timed sprints around the Mondello circuit (lose and sealed surface). The 206 finished 41st overall, finishing in front of many 1600 cars.

The first event on the WRC calender in 2009 will be Rally Ireland replacing the much loved and respected Rally Monte Carlo. G&G Motorsport are proud to be running the successful Group N Polo we built earlier this year .We would like to wish the Carlow Car club duo Ken Treacy and martin Comerford the best of luck for the event.

G&G Motorsport move to brand new workshop facilaty on the out skirts of Lincoln City. An ideal location for easy access to the main A1 coridor at the newark (A46) junction. With the economic climate reported to be slowing this is a demonstaration of G&G Motorsports comitment to the industry.

Please keep your eyes out for the first pictures and reports of our new workshop and our bespoke rolling road.

G&G Motorsport are better known for the “electronic approach” to tuning, however we still work with Carbs and Dissy’s when its called for.

Here’s a very nice Morris fitted with a “Guy Croft Race Engines” Fiat engine we have had in to run on our rolling road to set up and tune.

Not your everyday Morris.

Thanks to Rick Nunn we now have a fantastic new web site. We will be looking to populate the site with content over the next few coming weeks.
