IPU-16
This system offers a simple realiable and robust way of distributing power around the vehicle. No fuses or relays needed.
The system is programmed (RS232) to switch outputs on when inputs are satisfied. 16 inputs, 16 outputs. Logic control is also implemented via the software set up tool that will turn on/off circuits if other inputs are on or off, For example light circuits could be disabled when the starter is engaged. Head lights might be flashed when pit lane speed limit is active.
Everything from Rain lights to cooling fans, fuel pump to flashing lights.
All in all this is a very versatile bit of equipment. The advantages are attractive, with less wiring and less weight over a standard type relay and fuse system and ease of diagnostics via a LED Blink code, should you have a over current event will guide you straight to the circuit at question.
With a proven faultless track record being used on cars contesting and race winning in “American le-mans” series and “Le-mans endurance series” this is obviously a well thought out and reliable solution.
